Still haven't seen it... according to the CGV website, 3D Imax is gone (in Yongsan)...?? How can all the shows be sold out last week and gone today??

Anyone know how I can see tickets to see this frigging movie??? The Imax showings, according to my limited Korean/internet navigating skills, have been sold out for months. Driving me crazy.

Also, has anyone seen it in 4D? How does it compare to a 3D Imax viewing? How do those compare with the regular 3D (no imax)??

I saw Avatar 4D at the CGV in Yongsan. It was intense at times with all of the moving about. I wouldn't recommend it if you are a tall person though(over 6ft). I am right at 6ft and my knees kept banging on the chair in front of me when the chairs moved around. Had sore knees for the rest of the day.

3D Imax is gone probably because they will start showing Alice in Wonderland in 3D Imax starting this week and need the theatres.

There are still plenty of seats for next Monday-Wednesday for the 4D at Yongsan. Where abouts are you located and which theatre do you prefer? There are 4 theatres that are still showing the 4D and they all still have tickets for next Monday-Wednesday. The tickets do sell out fast though as people reserve them and cancel the day of. When I went to watch the 4D one, it was all sold out online but when I went, they still had tickets. So you could always just go and and maybe get lucky.

Thanks for the reply. I'm 6'4, so 4D now sounds less than appealing. It all sounded a little overwhelming to begin with.

I'm really after the 3D imax show. Yongsan is the best theater for me. I know how to look for tickets online... last week they were sold out (as usual), but today I look and there appear to be no 3D imax showings...???

They were showing the 3D version in Bucheon at the CGV. I didn't see it but most of my students did. I'm not sure if it's still playing there though.

Check out Primus theatres as well, I believe they are a division of CGV.

I saw Avatar in 3D (no IMAX) at Primus in Doksan-dong (Guemchon-gu) but I doubt they still have it.
