| I have already sent out for my CDC. However, I did not specify that they conduct a sex-offender registry check and make sure that this is clearly indicated on the report. Does this matter, or is the general CDC okay? |

If your job involves working with minors than you "need" to have the sex-offender registry check. I put need in quotes because officially this is true, however, whether anyone at immigration actually pays enough attention to the background check is anyone's guess. |

| I live in California - how was I supposed to tell them to do this? All I had was a simple application for a background check that I took to a finger print scanning place and then they sent my info. |

Did the application have any reference to the fact that you'd be working with minors? I know when I filled out my background check form back home in Calgary there was a check-box for that, and if it was checked then the Canadian equivilent of the sex-offender registry check was automatically done. Provided there was some reference to the work you're doing on the application form, it might be an automatic. |

| I have a clean record, not even a ticket. When they see that won't they know I am not a sex offender? |

Also, do I need a CBC if I went to college in a different state? I have lived in California all my life, but went to college in Arizona.
Does this mean i need a CBC for AZ and CA? |
