There is an awesome 2nd-hand clothing shop at Dongmyoe Station (Line 1 & 6) Exit #3. It's right at the exit. Basically it's a storefront with clothes everywhere. You dig through them and find gems. Stuff from Canada, Italy, etc...
Today, I found a nice Harris tweed jacket 4,000 won. (BTW, A similar used one I bought in Galway, Ireland 7 years ago was maybe 6 times that price!) I also bought 2 shirts for 5,000 won. (One Land's End cotton that you pay through the nose brand new and the other a nice wool -flannel type.) Also found some great Levis Jeans for only 3,000 won a pair! You have to dig through stuff, but the adventure is worth it.
The guy there today spoke great English. Very kind and we had an interesting conversation. I highly recommend the place. Try not to go at the weekend, as it can be pretty busy. Best of luck to ya! |

I've found some pretty cool stuff at a market near Sindang Station. I don't know what brand and quite frankly I don't care. I found a pretty cool Where's Waldo Sweater for 2,000 won. Kicks the crap out of 2nd hand shops back in the States anyday. Go to Sindang Station on the 2 and get out at xit 1. Walk past the dog slaughter shacks and keep going til you end up near Myongdong. There's also one in Myongdong/Jongno 3ga.
where is the one you are talking about? |

Cool. You can avoid the dog slaughters by turning right out of Exit #1 and taking your first right and walking all the way the the next 4-way intersection. Just accross the street, there are a couple of little booths that sell cool clothes. |

Wow!! Amazing deals on intimate fashion/innerwear - and if you're like me, you'll appreciate the 2-for 1 soiled boxer special (6am-9am).
........just kidding! |

There's a massive vintage market in Jongno 5 (o) ga.
It's a bit hard to find, but I'll try with directions.
Exit 7, i think, walk straight (you should be walking past a lot of pharmacies and the plant-district. A massive open air market should be on your right hand side, which you may not be able to see until nearly 50 metres down the street. Sadly, I don't know the name of the market.
Dongdaemun should be behind you and you should be walking int he general direction of Jongno 3 (sam) ga.
Walk to the end of the block, where the sidewalk will bend left, and you will come across the back entrance to the open air market, maybe about 15 metres from the street that you were just walking alongside.
Walk just past the entrance to the market (should be full of ajumma gear down that end) and you will see a small snack shack on you right, and an entrance into the building on your left. Enter, and go upstairs. You will enter into the men's section, but there is also a giant women's section.
I had to be physically shown where it was, but hopefully someone can find it. It's completely worth it. |

Some of the Beautiful (Areum) Stores carry some really nice vintage clothing as well.
Around the Dongmeo & Shindang neighborhood, you can find some great outdoor markets that have some great deals. |

Why dig up a thread from 2 years ago to post this? |

The Beautiful Store is a good bet, but like any secondhand store, you have to stop by often if you're looking for something in particular. Tokyo Juice gets better and better, especially if you know your brand names well. |

Can you only find vintage clothing stores in Seoul? Or could you find one in another city? |
