We're in an apartment we found ourselves (a school didn't find it for us) and need to set up wireless internet. I just haven't called yet. However, neither of us have alien cards yet (probably won't until late this week). Should we wait until we get them, or try without them?

I would just have your school set up internet. It's easiest, IMO.

Bar that, I bring nothing to the table.

In the mean, just steal from your neighbors.

KT has an English line and you only need a passport, no ARC.

Hmm, good to know. Are KT's rates for basic cable plus internet comparable to other companies?

I'm guessing it's much the same. I'm with KT Megapass and no complaints. After a one year contract, I can pause and resume the subscription anytime I want (eg. when moving apartments, taking a vacation etc). I'm paying 33k + 5k /month because my building has ancient cabling and I need a special rental modem to get 50mbps as opposed to 10.

Here's the English number I call for support - 02 1588 8448

I could not get internet/cable in my name cause I'm a foreigner. My wife is a Korean citizen and couldn't get it either cause she's a foreign resident. We had to get it in our kid's name. That was through Sky Life, then another one (can't recall the name).
