| Is it possible to get a teaching job at a PS without using one of these agencies? I am seeing job offers from public schools, and I do not need to apply to EPIK, GEPIK, SMOE. I always thought u needed to go through one of them for PS. |

| There are other regional agencies. JLP for example handles Jeollanamdo. |

I got a PS job in ilsan with HandsKorea recruiters.
Some schools prefer to do their own hiring. |

Some schools hire outside the recruitment from GEPIK/EPIK/SMOE/etc
BUT
After you are hired you are STILL under the auspices and authority of the respective provincial body. For example, you are a private hire to a PS in Gyeonggi then you are still under the authority of GEPIK (the provincial education office).
There are NO exceptions within the PS system.
