Ok, so on my second job now and although immigration doesn't need a medical check, my afterschool program in a public school says the school needs one. BUT my supervisor is new and doesn't know what I need to get, soo anyone know what tests have to be in the medical???
If anyone has a korean letter or form that I could just hand-in to the hospital this would be magical.
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou |

Your Co-teacher or supervisor should go with you?
I had to get a blood test for all sorts (think they mentioned Hepatitis, HIV etc) a chest xray, an eye exam, dental check up and give a urine sample!
Luckily im in great health!!
Didnt have to fill in any forms just gave date of birth, school address and my name and number. |

If the school is paying for it, here's what you tell the hospital: I want every blood and urine test you would give to someone who hadn't seen a doctor in ten years. I want a full physical. I want a drug screen. I want everything from endocrine to lymphatic poked and prodded.
And I'd like a print-out of the results.
Cause hey, free health screen, right? |

I just got given all the paperwork for a medical test from my Public School yesterday. The school pays for everything. Ask your supervisor to check it out with the office administrators.
My paperwork is valid until July and is two pages long it asks the Hospital to give me the full warrant of fitness.
I do have to pay for a test for stomach cancer, well 10% of the cost which is about 3500 Won, if I want to be checked for stomach cancer.
This seems a tad strange, I haven't really heard that stomach cancer is an issue with westerner's. I thought it was just a problem with all the salty food i.e kimchi that Korean's eat.
But i'll probably get tested for it as well... |

You understand cancer doesn't work that way, right? |

Must admit I was being a bit tongue in cheek
But if you know the way cancer works, don't keep it a secret!! There are millions of people all around the world who are literally dying to meet you, sorry for the pun (in bad taste) but you seem like you need a laugh |
