|
|
I could really use some help. I have to make/steal/download/buy some short 10 minute videos to show to elementary students in the morning. The movies should be about 9-10 minutes long, and I need to give some sort of commentary like vocab/phrases etc.
They will be shown to grades 1-6.
Does anyone know of any good series I could use, I was thinking something like Dora the Explorer.
Any ideas would be really appreciated. |

How about the old Tarzan series from the 1980s? How about some clips from Conan the barbarian?
If nothing else, at least it can build up their confidence knowing that someone else speaks worse English than them. |

Check out Mr. Bean cartoon series... Not much dialogue but you could get creative and add your own. Children of all ages love Mr. Bean. |

i don't know if you want to use religious stuff, i teach at a Christian school, but my coteacher has some "Jesus Kids" videos made by cts that have neet little songs and stories, its great for teaching easy vocab and expressions with songs and stuff. |

Sesame Street is always cool, but I also second the Mr. Bean recommendation. It leads to some good discussions. |

I'd use Mike Marzio's real English videos.
We have a player on EFL Classroom of the classics or find them at http://real-english.com Download hard copies through youtube to play offline. You might also try these Extra English videos I collected. A teenage soap opera for ELLs.
