I know there are threads on this (most are a bit dated), and I'm surprised that there isn't a sticky on this!
(edit, I didn't check the FAQ, but still, it's pretty old!)

I did my own searching (by readings many threads on here, and just googling stuff), and the ones that are consistently recommended are these three:

SKLA (Seoul Korea Language Academy) http://www.seoul-kla.com/
GNUCR (Gangnam UC-Riverside) http://www.gnucr.org/koreanpr/koreanpr02.asp

Some people talk about Yonsei being the most advanced, but I read too much stuff about how boring and useless it was, so I didn't include it.

Have any of you had experiences with one or more of these places? I'm thinking about doing one of them, but still not sure which. I know most people talk about Sogang being the best, but I still wanna look at other options (especially if I can save money). I also read that you can get credits through the University of California through GNUCR (not sure though).

I looked at all the evening programs and did the math to see how much each of these places come out to.

Sogang: 640,000 won at 3 times a week for 10 weeks (60 hours) = 10,660/hr
SKLA: 280,000 won at 3 times a week for 4 weeks (24 hours) = 11,660/hr
SKLA: 190,000 won at 2 times a week for 4 weeks (16 hours) = 11,880/hr
GNUCR: 300,000 won at 2 times a week for 10 weeks (40 hours) = 7,500/hr

I've heard a lot of good things from friends who studied at Ganada Language institute in Hongdae.
They produce pretty good books from the looks of it also....

They do evening programs as well as day programs/

Get a good book, or some vocab lists. Practice those and ask people at your work to explain stuff if you need.

I'm thinking of starting ganda evening classes. Is it supposed to be good for conversational Korean? I remember flicking through one of the books in the bookstore and thinking the books looked like very formal korean.
