|
|
Hey, I wonder if anyone has experience with this... I'm trying to book the return flight of my ticket for this summer. The Air Canada ticket agent in Seoul tells me I have a low "booking code" on my ticket, and that they will put me on a waiting list. I'm told to call twice a week to see if can get confirmed for the flight...does anyone know what my chances are?
BTW the date is June 23, but I tried to get booked on any flight between June 20 and 27...same result.

I was told there would be a 70-80% chance I would get a flight if I was on a waitlist during the weeks between Christmas and New Years. Signing up for their airmiles program may also get you a little preferential treatment. |

Yep, that could do the trick, or at least help you get a bit higher on that list. |

Thanks...
I'm already an Aeroplan member, so I will remind them of this next time I call. Yesterday I called a travel agent and asked about flight availability during these times and was told that if i were to buy a ticket I could get a seat no problem. I'm a bit confused about this "low booking class" line I'm getting. Any other tips would be appreciated.

Hi, just curious... what kind of price are you getting for your ticket? I made a trip last summer back to Canada and will again this summer around July 1st. I purchased my ticket online and about the best I could find was through NorthWestern Airlines (going to Halifax by the way). I could get a return ticket for about 1,900$ Canadian. Can Air Canada travel agents do much better than that? I'm hoping some of you will say 'yes'. Thanks. |

Well, I know Canjet airlines is usually the cheapest way to go in Eastern Canada, but I dont' think Korean travel agents can book tickets with them, as they're a regional carrier. I flew from St. John's to Toronto for around 150.00$ back in December. |

The way things are going these days, have you stopped to consider maybe the state has you down on a security-risk
( i.e. you are a potential terrorist / free-thinker, politically incorrect dissenter ... etc ) "no-fly" list |

I bought my ticket in Canada last year , so I am just booking the return portion. The ticket, one-year open ended, return ,Saskatoon- Seoul- Saskatoon, cost $1750 on Air Canada. |

I was on a waiting list for a couple months to return to Canada on Korean Air... but I think that was due to my timing: wanting to return during North America's Spring Break.
Vancouver's airport was MADNESS upon return. |

I called the ticket agent two days straight and let it be known that I would harass them unitl I I was confirmed.
They confirmed me immediately.
