Hullo All,
Does anyone have any advice or tips about finding reasonably priced flights to Canada? Summer vacation is coming up in a few months, and I will be flying on a return ticket to Halifax - a quick perusal seems to sugest that these flights are about 1800$!!!!!! Anyone have any experience or advice they wouldn't mind sharing?
Cheers! |

Summer is PEAK travel season in BOTH countries so the chances of getting a cheap seat are close to "0".
Having said that, try flying VIA the middle east instead of heading via the Canadian west coast.
Save you having to deal with flights routing through the US (major pain in the azz) and the service is usually better.
Did Singapore air restart their flights to Canada? Another option to look at. You may be able to get something decent from Cathay via HK and Toronto as well.

Every year it seems to get harder and harder for me to get flights to Canada (Alberta). As much as I loathe Air Canada, often there is no alternative, particularly in July. Arrange this soon. Don't wait for long.
If you cannot fly westward over Asia and Europe, perhaps Eva or China Air might have less costly flights to Vancouver. They are generally not on the ticket search engines. From there you might find a deal through WestJet to Halifax with a few stopovers.
If you're truly desperate, you might try some crazy alternatives. Fly to Chicago and take a bus to Toronto and then to Halifax? |

KAL used to have summer (only) flights from Incheon to Calgary for around 1.3 million won. I used that route a few times.
