Hey,
My girlfriend and I have a 1 week holiday left to take. We are thinking of taking it at the end of April. We were told Boracay is good, and it looks amazing from pics. Also contemplating Thailand. Whatever is cheapest will sell it to us, as all we really want is sun and a beach.
Any suggestions, much appreciated...
P.S. If you could reccommend a good travel agent that would also be great! |

Why bother with a travel agent? These sites should sort you at as well or better, provided you own a credit card:
www.cebupacificair.com (Korea to Philippines)
www.jinair.com (Incheon to Bangkok)
www.agoda.com (accommodations) |

http://www.boracay.com is great to give you an idea of what is available.
Phuket is nice in the off season too.
I like Alona beach on Bohol island (Philippines). http://www.bohol.ph/ for general info.
You should be able to get seats on Cebu Pacific to the Phils for 300k won or less. It will cost you another 100k to get from Manila or Cebu to Boracay.
It is only a 5000 won ferry and 5000 won taxi from Cebu to Alona beach.
IF you want to do Phuket, find a package (they are often as low as 500k won in the off season). |

The first time I hit Boracay was in April 2007. It was easily one of the most memorable times in my life. I had no idea how great that little island was, and I've been there three times and planning to go there again. Getting there has gotten easier because Zest Airways has a direct flight from Incheon to Kalibo (which is about 90 minutes from the jetty port at Caticlan where you take the ferry to Boracay). |

Zest Air has advertised the flights ont he website, but I can't access them online, they won't reply to my emails regarding pricing, and they have provided little to no help over the phone for my wife, a Korean. Do you have anything more detailed on Zest? |

I flew Zest Air on a domestic flight within the Philippines. The route map I saw at the check-in desk showed the route to Korea in a different color and the key said charter flights. I ask the check-in agent and she confirmed they don't have regular scheduled flights between Korea and the Phills, it is charter flights only. |

Oh man, I'm ready to take a vacation. This busy work is getting old. I wanna see the world; not the same 4 walls. |

I think that sums up the feelings the vast majority of us have. |

I heard this from a co-worker...
Apparently there's some island resorts where you pay just a package fee, and basically your entire stay as well as all drink, food, concerts, or whatever is included. Anyone heard of this? |

Several of the resorts have packages like that but you pay dearly for them.
Lots of tour companies also offer packages like that.
Your choice - $250 per night for the all inclusive or $50 per night to do it yourself.
