Someone else put one of these up a few months ago but I wanna confirm.
Guam is a little peice of America in the Pacific but you can easily stay away from the tourist stuff and stay on a beach all day and relax. The people were all very welcoming and nice and the views and weather were great. Take a tour, snorkle, SCUBA, or go fishing. My wife and I will go back. I suggest it to anyone. |

I think I got mine for $550-600. That's with a layover in Japan. It's not a bad flight. A direct flight would be great. |

Agreed.
I went there for 5 days on part of my winter vacay in January and it was awesome. I rented a car as well and drove the whole island. (If you rent a car make sure you do it beforehand because if you wait, they will be sold out).
Also if you go, there is a beach on the north tip of the island called Ritidian Beach which you must check out. Waves can be rough so I wouldn't do any swimming far out, but hardly anyone is on the beach.
Also a friend suggested something next time if I go back, and just rent a car and sleep in the car instead of paying for a hotel. |

I searched quite a bit, but never found the exact location of the Korean Embassy.
The "125 C Tun Jose Camacho St." doesn't turn up any usable results online. It's a small city so I can probably find it, but I'd rather not have to think about it, and spend more time on the beach.
Maybe someone could use a google map to pinpoint the embassy and then post the link.
Any other tips are also appreciated.
Thanks,

Went there for New Years. It IS a slice of the US that caters to Japanese, and Koreans to a lesser extent. Transportation can be a hassle if you don't rent a car or stay in the tourist areas (where the buses go).
Buses go to the 2 malls, K-Mart, downtown shopping areas (which cater to Asians mostly with expensive brand names) and beach hotels. I think it was $20 for a week pass.
While it was a great break from Korea, there is a reason few from the mainland US don't go there much. It doesn't compare to places like Cancun or South Beach. But it is great if you want a US shopping experience or to veg on the beach. My favorite shopping was the grocery store in the Micronesia Mall. Has all the stuff a US grocery store would have. After being here for awhile, I brought a bag of goodies back.
Rode the buses a lot and never saw a Korean embassy. And taxis are ridiculously expensive if you can find one. It can be $50 to the airport, which takes like 15 mins to the beach hotels. But at least they speak English. |

Thanks for your info. I don't plan on hitting Guam anytime soon. |
