I am heading to Seoul in two weeks to visit a friend. He lives in Suji. I am considering starting a career as an English teacher in the school system. I am looking to gain knowlwdge of the culture, as well as the living conditions. I am curious what to bring with me, as this will be my first trip. Also, I am a single 23 year old that is looking for a little action with the ladies. Any advise would be appreciated. |

I wasn't kidding when I told you to bring 15 bottles of booze and a nice pair of dress socks. I'll explain when you get here.
As for you meeting women that could be a little dicey, Just bring a good amount of cash and i'll show you where to go.
P.S. Tell Steve he never paid me that money he owed me before I left, i'm fine with it because I hooked up with his sister and he never found out! |

Bring a Criminal Background Check from your state, make sure its apostalized.
Bring your University diploma with you. If you don't have a degree, forget about teaching here.
Bring your TEFL certificate if you have one. This certificate is not mandatory to have.
Bring your University Transcripts, 6 months recent.
Bring as many pants that you like to wear with you as possible. Shirts you can buy in Iteawon, Seoul
Bring as many pairs of shoes with you as you can. Especially if you have wide feet or really large feet. Socks are easy to find in Iteawon.
If you have room bring some food items that you really like to eat. Bring as much as you can. |

Just go up to a girl in a bar, tell her you want to marry her (get down on one knee). Then bring her straight to a love motel. After you've finished, throw on your clothes and run out the door as quickly as possible without saying a word.
No joke, a friend of mine from back home came to visit me in Korea and he did this very thing. I couldn't believe it, but it happened.

All of my "paperwork" is complete. I figure that a two week trip will solidify whether or not I am making the right decision. My friend is a little crazy, so I am somewhat nervous about the shenanagans that are going to take place while I'm there. As funny as it sounded, he was serious when he said to bring booze and dress socks. I guess he has been quite the hit with the ladies since arriving. I just want to make sure I'm not a hit with the local law enforcement. Is there something wrong with making a carrer out of teaching in Korea? Some D-Bag earlier insinuated that this was not a viable option. |

Just bring yourself. No need for anything wild, unusual, or crazy. You're only staying for two weeks. And don't bring booze. There's lots of it here. Your friend is nuts. |

I remember years back there was one guy I worked with whose friend came from the states. Big dude, rugged, handsome. We all thought he was a guaranteed score!
Well, one girl liked him but then got turned off when he came on to her. Then another girl had a taxi they were in together drop her off after he tried to kiss her. She came to my place instead. Yeeeah!
He ended up leaving here hating the place. Funny stuff. |

Career is a far too serious term for what amounts to high-paid babysitting |

It's only high-paid babysitting if you treat it as such. |

I've noticed you bring up your conquests in threads whenever possible. You should compile them together and create a new thread. There's usually a paragraph of mundane background followed by a hilarious one-liner.
OP, it's probably a good thing you'll be able to visit before already landing a job. You should really take at least some time to see whether or not you'd like actually living in Korea instead of just trying to get laid the whole time. Unless of course that's all you care about, then almost anywhere in the world would probably work for you. |

I'm sure there are some babysitters in Korea. However, there are some who are actually teaching! |
