Hello everyone!
My coworkers and I moved to Korea just a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm having problems finding exact places.
We live in Hanam, so we're right next to Seoul. Sadly, we've tried Lotte Mart and E-Mart and no one can help us! I even bring a plug with me. I just want to be able to plug in my laptops (3 prongs). From what I hear, E-mart used to sell adapters, but now they don't anymore.
I read on here that you can find them in Yongsan in Seoul. Anyone know where exactly? I want to call first to make sure they have them. Unfortunately a store can sell adapters one week then none the next.
Any help would be appreciated. |

| Go to Son-in plaza in Yongsan and there are plenty of adapters/cords. All you will need is a cord if your computer is able to. Look at the powerblock on your laptop plug and if it says 110-220, you only need a different cord. Just bring your power cord with you and they will understand what you need. |

I have a related question re: power adapters.
Are the power adapters sold these days noisy? I still use the same one (Lotte) that I bought 9 years ago, and it's always made an annoying buzzing noise. |

| I believe the big bulky boxy ones with fuses still have a hum to them, but the smaller 100 - 75 watt ones don't. |

I've recently arrive in Korea too and had the same problem. I picked up an adapter for my laptop at home plus in the digital section.
If you take the subway to Mullae stn on the green line (line 2) and use exit #3 it takes you right to the store and it's on the 3rd floor.
They only had 1 model, and it was a lil tricky to spot and none of the sales associates knew what i was talking about, but its with all the other computer type accessories.
