Any Canadians here recently renew their Korean wife Canadian permanent resident card while still living in Korea?
I'd like to know how you did it because my reading off the application forms says you must be 'physically' in Canada to apply for or renew a PR Card.
Thanks! |

I'm a Permanent Res in Canada at the moment. As far as i know I just have to live here for 2 years out of the 5 to keep my status.
It sounds like something the canadian immigration would make you do as they would like you to live in the country.
Again. Ask Captain Corea |

As far as I know you do not have to be in Canada. Try phoning the Canadian Consulate, they should be able to answer your questions. I got my childs passport and other stuff just last week. And he was born here in Korea.
Also, if your wife is living with you here in Korea, you do not have to live in Canada for any set amount of time. As long as your wife is accomanying a canadian citizen and residing with them they meet citizenship requirements.
in otherwards living with a Canadian spouse outside of Canada is just as good as living in Canada for Permanent Residence requirements.
I am 99 percent certain you DO NOT have to be in Canada |
