Should I get a ticket with a travel agent? Has anyone made an online purchase instead with KEB bank?
I am looking to get a ticket to China, so I am not too worried about costs. Some flights were as low as 150,000 won. |

Hi
You can do ether so shop around...
See if you can get a flight at a convenient time too.
I use soho travel, you can send the money via atm after you choose the flight.
www.sohotravel.co.kr I believe Kangsan travel has deals to China too.
Plenty more information on the travel forum, this post might be better moved there... |

Forget travel agents...
http://www.kayak.com/
Although Kayak includes Expedia in its searches, I still prefer to just use Expedia for some reason. I'm just weird. |

Well, I went to Soho and they were great. I don't feel I am spending much considering China charges like 135 to Americans to get an L visa.
In fact, I wonder how Soho is making money with what they charged me. It was 30,000 more than what I found online. I'll take the loss to feel more secure. They also tried to help with a pension issue which I'll post in the jobs forum.

I usually find the western sites like Kayak and Expedia more expensive. For travel agents I find Sohotravel, Kangsantravel and Shoestring travel reliable and usually cheap with decent service. |

Oh! Then the OP should try travel agency websites or online booking. |

| Bear in mind that you have to get your passport stamped before your flight from my understanding and experience with China. Dunno if it's still true and you can get the stamp at the airport there now, but any random travel agent can do it overnight here before you go. |
