HAHAHAH

*cough, cough*

OK, lets be serious for half a second.
Between building nuclear "facilities", where and how do they find the time to make a MS Windows look-a-like and why?

oh, it's not a joke?

HAHAHAH Laughing

It's just Linux with a red star painted on it. They use Firefox, but it's crippled to only be able to access the "North Korean Internet".

If you want to try it out, do it fast. Once the starving hamster running on its wheel to power NK's single computer dies that'll be the end of this OS.

This is all on the word of a Russian student who is supposedly studying in pyeongyang. I can't imagine what would possess someone to go there for university, but there are a lot of things that don't really make sense about it.

It looks much more like someone just doctored up a linux version to look like it came from North Korea.

Firefox was renamed "My Country" what Korean, especially in the North, says "My" Country?

There are a couple of strange konglish terms in the screenshots that don't quite make sense, and there seems to be far too much Konglish over all. I seem to remember reading some stuff that indicated North Korea was a little stricter about not allowing as much Konglish to creep into their language.

The Herald's article is quoting another article. I think this is just an AP reprint, because whoever wrote those lines originally has never seen Windows. The screenshots don't remotely look like windows.
There are more distros which have done a much better job of mimicking windows.
