since it seems I won't get my residency certificate in time for the first pay period here at public school (i just switched from hagwon) can you still get this as a lump sum at the end of your year? i heard a rumor that you can but i don't know if that's true...
found lots of tax threads but can't seem to find this exact question.
Thanks! |

It just means you have to pay your 3% tax here in korea.
Personally, I believe if you file that residency certificate, you WILL HAVE TO PAY American taxes, but other people believe differently. |

It has been done to death in other threads, but basically...
If you claim you are a resident of your home state in one form but say that you are NOT a resident in another form.....
Anyway, depends on how much you covet your "big" 3% tax cut. I don't even qualify for it as I've been here too long. |
