I am looking for a place to stay this summer near Yonsei, between late June and early August, for five or six weeks. I just need one bed, airconditioning, and maybe internet/TV. Any suggestions?
Thanks! |

That's probably a lame joke. There's tons of ad sites, or if you're already in Korea, have a Korean friend help you find one. There's real estate agencies on virtually every corner.
It is fairly easy to find a nice place near Yonsei if you look for "hasuk jip" (하숙집) signs on the streets, you'll see that there are many of them. A hasuk jip is a house where someone (usually an elderly lady) rents out a room and also serves meals.
You will be able to find more good options around Yonsei University but I really liked Hue Residence and was happy to have chosen the place. Here is their website so you can see some pictures: http://gosi1.net and the address is Hue Residence, 52-65 Chang Chun Dong, Seodaemun Gu. If you see the Adidas store on Sinchon's main street, take that sidestreet and walk untill you see a couple of yellow fish tanks outside of a restaurant. Go to the right into a small alley right after that and you will find the entrance to the Hue Residence on your left (you need to go up to the 3rd floor to find the office/reception). |
