This is an interesting documentary detailing what people will do in order to get into Europe. You can see that Europeans aren't exactly being welcoming to those trying to get into Europe and have some kind of better life.

This is the thing about troubled economies, it always brings out the worst in people.

I am all for immigration and granting assylum.
So long as the immigrants will ultimately assimilate and become good citizens.

Sadly this seems to not to be the case with muslims however. And only muslims.

Why on Earth should they be welcoming to people trying to get into Europe and suck up the wealth the people of those countries have created? These people should use their drive to live a better live to improve their own countries.

Opposing illegal immigration is hardly "the worst in people." A socialist system simply can't cope with an endless supply of unskilled immigrants, either from an economic perspective or from a social perspective.

There are plenty of non-Muslims who also refuse to assimilate and become good citizens. Muslims are just particularly easy to spot and categorize. America for instance has plenty of unskilled Mexicans who come to our country, can barely speak English (if at all), and engage in criminal behavior.

Can you speak Korean?

Koreans often have been taught to think foreigners commit a lot of crime. How about you start questioning similar assumptions about foreigners living in your home country?

I don't care what they've been taught to think.

Great.
-Then are you willing to contemplate the possibility that the vast majority of mexican immigrants do not commit crime (or at worst, at only a similar rate to non-mexican americans?).
-The possibility that you may simply have swallowed a lot of propoganda and biased stereotyping about a whole demographic in your country?

Because it seems to me that a lot of foreigners who complain about racism in Korea also hypocritically project the all the same attitudes onto racial minorities in their own countries.

1) I agree that the vast majority of Mexican immigrants do not commit crime. It doesn't change the fact that they commit crime at higher rates than natural born citizens of European descent, add little comparative value to our country, and as such provide almost no incentive for us to allow them to immigrate.

2) Most Muslims immigrants don't commit crimes, but that doesn't stop you from being verbally aggressive towards them. Perhaps you should practice what you preach. If the activity of a minority of Muslim immigrants is sufficient to earn your ire, then you are hardly in a position to criticize others for feeling similarly about other groups.

The simple truth is immigration is not a right. If a current non-citizen would provide insufficient value to one's country, one is totally within their rights to oppose the immigration of that non-citizen. I have no problem with Mexican immigrants on a case-by-case basis; all that matters to me is whether they provide net value to my country. The same goes for immigrants from any other country.

Right now, the citizens of Europe would be wise to push back hard against immigration, especially of the illegal variety. They don't need more dead weight people who would rather flee the problems that their cultures have created and leech off of successful cultures rather than putting their effort into reforming their own countries.

To be clear -- since your comment about "racial minorities" seems to be accusing me of something -- I have no problem with any given race. I have a problem with certain cultural behaviors, and I have a problem with unskilled/uneducated immigrants leeching off of shared resources. I also don't particularly bitch about racism in Korea; Korea is how Korea is, and it's my choice whether I stay or go. So far, racism here hasn't been sufficient to make me want to leave.

A lot of my friends in Canada are Muslim - they seemed to fit in just fine.

So XXX does not provide a decent living for its people. Why no judgment on that country? Why heap the scorn on Europe? Where do you say bad things about XXX even while it looks like they deserve it? Immigration is not a right. Immigration is a low intensity conflict and a girlish war. Liberals want their voters and in a very communist way, liberals want control and liberals get that by being in charge in immigrants. They make sure the public benefits get allocated they way they want the benefits to be allocated and they get watch all people because the immigrants need to be minded, that is they get watch all people. The immigrant thing is just a ruse.

The amount of girlish aggression is really really big.

How much gang violence have foreign English instructors brought with them into Korea? How many foreign English instructors enter Korea and obtain work illegally?

Comparing the situation here to that of the issue of illegal immigration in America and Europe has never been and never will be convincing.

Yup.

Who America/Europe is will determine what America/Europe is. I see the graduation rates for Vibrant Diversity and the demands on the state that Vibrant Diversity place, and know that this can't be squared, and something will have to give.
