i tried to search this one out on the advanced search with Google. but all the info was kinda old and the official bike thread is 100 pages long now. so I'm sorry for almost certainly re-posting.

i have a few questions about the bike license/test if you knowledgeable folks could help me

1: Can I transfer my UK driving license to a Korean license with the bike entitlement. I have a full UK bike license. I also have the Korean car license. I have both in my possession as the UK one expired and I said I lost it to get a new one without giving back my Korean License. Is it possible to do this with an international license. I read I could possibly do this. Is this true. If so how do I go about it.

2: If I decide to do the test, how do I go about booking it? I once tried to do so online, but it wouldn't take a foreign ID card. What should I do to take the test.

3: There is a website with locations of test centers and times. Anyone know it?

4: What about going to a bike hogwan. Anyone know one near Itaewon?

5: Any further ideas on what I can do to ride legally in this country. It seems to be harder to play by the rules than not to. But i don't want to do that.

Cheers in advance, advice, opinions are appreciated.

1. Don't believe you can, but you can transfer it for a regular Korean licence which allows you to ride a 125cc. Once you have the local licence the motorcycle endorsement is supposed to be pretty easy. It's just driving around an obstical course. Here's a vid of it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpWF2pWhHNw

2. Not sure

3. Dunno

4. Ummmm

5. Swapping your UK licence for a local one is a matter of a couple of hours. You have to take a konglish-arific multi choice test, but that's it. Once you get a bike you are supposed to register it at your local district office and get some insurance.
