|
|
So this isn't about translating the buttons on my washer. That's done. But it seems to have no delicate setting. It does have a wool setting. I've been using that and so far so good but it takes forever and I'm worried because the water is quite warm and the shirts are coloured. Can I use the wool setting to wash my dress shirts and other delicates? Or do I have to do something else? Or maybe I got part of the translation wrong? (although I got it checked by some K teachers I work with and they said it was all good). And does anyone in Incheon have a good desk they can sell me? |

doesn't it have a separate button by which you can adjust the temperature? i.e. set it to "wool" (default temperature = warm), then separately adjust the temperature of the water to cold.
if you can't do that, just get a big bucket and handwash your delicates |

There are two lights on the panel. One for hot water and one for cold. When I set it to wool the light says the water is cold but the water is actually quite warm. One light can be lit up, or both can. But not when I have it on the wool setting (I assume when both lights are on the water will be warm, then one light on hot, and when it's just the other one on - cold). Can I wash my delicates on the wool setting without having the colours run out? I thought anything delicate including wool had to be cold water. |

if your machine is hooked up to two taps (hot and cold) then just twist off the hot tap so only the cold water goes in.
if it only fills with the hot water and not the cold one, then just swap the pipes over to opposite taps when you want to wash delicates and move them back when done. |

Took the words right out of my mouth. That is, assuming it is a dumb system that only stops filling when it detects it being full, rather than how much time it should take or some other craziness. |

I don't know how other washing machines people might have work, but with mine, if you don't tell it to fill to a specific level, then it executes a few jerky, forceful spins before starting, and uses the weight of the clothes and how it impacts the spin to judge how much water to put in (which again seems to be based on weight of water added rather than time; once I forgot to open the water valve for the washer and it just sat there waiting to fill up before I finally noticed and turned it on). It's actually pretty effective. |
