| I am currently living in Daegu and thought I would try and find an English teaching position. So far I have done some research on the hagwons in the area but I wanted to get some first hand testaments if possible. A friend told me that hagwons can be all right places to work as long as you find a good one, so that's what I am trying to do. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Hmm..well I would suggest that you inquire and research about the different areas or wards in Daegu. I have been here for a week now and the hagwon I work for is so far fantastic, couldn't have asked for more. I'm in Sangin-dong, in a very nice area.
This might be somewhat controversial but from what I have gathered it seems that the more respectable hagwons exist in the more affluent areas. Therefore I would stay away from living (and thus working) in an area that did not meet my expectations. Aim high..is all I'm saying. |
