I'm going to be living way up in the northern part of Daedeok-gu. The neighbourhood is called Deogam-dong. I lived in Mannyeon-dong last year and was right in the center of everything and now I'm at the northern tip of the city. How much of an inconvenience is this? Are there any other foreigners up in this area? What's the scene like up there and how much of a hassle is it to get downtown?
Apparently I get a nice officetel plus the pay and hours are good, otherwise I wouldn't want to live on the outskirts like that. On the flipside, my location was good last year but my accomodations were almost third-world, with roaches there when I first arrived.
Edit: It's just a little bit north of the techno valley. |

| I have a couple friends who live in techno valley, and they just take the bus or a cab into downtown when they want to go out. just be prepared to pay 10,000 won for a cab. |

Balls.
Oh well, I can get them to show me what bus to take. Hopefully there will be some good whiskey bars in the area too. |
