I am thinking of taking an online TEFL certificate course. I'm hoping to find a quality online certificate because I would prefer not to spend an obscene amount of money getting certified and would like to get certified as soon as possible. Does anyone have experience with these online courses? I'm sure some of the online certifications are better than others, but I'm not sure which one(s) are best.
Also, I may want to change locations later on. Does anyone know which countries do not accept online certificates? |

Spend the money for a REAL tefl course. I don't think I would even list an online TEFL course on my resume. It might be a disadvantage. |

I honestly wouldn't waste the time and money on an online TEFL course. Most employers who require it or will pay a teacher extra for having it are looking for a TEFL course with an observed teaching component. I think there is an hour requirement or a standard number of teaching hours that some of the more reputable courses offer but I can't remember the exact number. |
