So in my short time here I've amassed quite a few coins. Is there a way to roll them and exchange them for bills at a bank? I haven't seen any of the paper rolls anywhere, but I'd really like to get all of this change off my hands.

Banks have change counting machines. However, some machines cannot separate coin denominations so you should check first or separate your change first.

I throw all of my coins in a piggy bank and exchange them at the bank every 6 months or so. It partially paid for my last vacation.

p.s. Sorry if I offended any muslims.

Should I just show up with coins in hand at any bank or is it at select locations. I feel like I've never seen any coin machines in banks. Are they attached to the ATMs in some way?

They're not self-service machines. You have to go to one of the tellers. Any bank should have a counting machine.

Say what? Confused

If you go to the bank, make sure you don't have any foreign coins in your jar of Korean money. Evidently I left an American quarter in mine, and it jammed up their machine Shocked

Why exchange the coins? Ive found out the Korean 100 Won coin works as a US quarter so I take all my 100 Won coins home with me in the summer! Very Happy

While that is certainly awesome, I can't imagine finding enough things to buy from vending machines to make it worth it to hold on 20k won in 100 won coins. It's seriously a lot (inherited some from previous teachers and had to pay with big bills on the bus a couple of times).

If you live near a casino you could get your change turned into cash there.

Do you also shoplift when you go back home?

The bank inside every post office will take your coins for you for free.
