I was there about a week and a half ago and it was packed with guys, girls, Koreans and foreigners. Have never heard of it being a gay bar, and if it is, it's a pretty crappy gay bar.

I usually go out exit one, walk down the street a bit til you get to a side street with a bunch of food carts, go to the end of the street and take a right, and it'll be on your right. I dunno, might be a little longer of a walk but we usually eat some food at a cheap samgyeopsal place around there before hand..

The sign's pretty easy to miss. It's a basement bar. I'm sure your friend just walked past it.
