I've been trying to decide my next step and I think furthering my education is the right way to go. Now the question becomes how to go about it.

I wanted to get some advice and stories from people doing just that here in Korea.

I think there are four options I could go with:

Online Distance Degree

If I go with an Online distance degree it gives me a lot of flexibility. If I decided to move to Japan next year then I'm thinking that my classes would be unaffected. I know that finding a well respected program is important and so I'm considering the following. Any advice or suggestions for the list?

Korean University Graduate Program

If I went this route I could stay with my current job, which I like a lot, and attend night classes. However i have to factor in if my my MA will be accepted back home. On another note it doesn't offer certification. However I am thinking about the following schools and programs. What do you think?

MA Education with Teacher Certification (back home unless online?)
This would be great because I would obtain my masters and teacher certification at once. Though I am thinking that for most programs I would have to be in the US. If anyone knows any different please correct me. If I could do this online that would be ideal.

There's also the Teaching Fellow programs I've been seeing. I might be wrong but I think getting my MA in education or TESOL would disqualify me from those programs when I get back to the united states. I'm not sure.

TESOL Certificate
This would be the cheapest route, but would give me a greater knowledge of the field. However, I keep thinking it might be a waste of money if I am planning on doing a MA eventually. What do you think? I could compele a course before next March when I might move to Japan. Hopefully that woud give me a leg up. Though the steep price of the CELTA keeps giving me a niggling thought that the money would be best put toward a MA.

There's also a tefl course coming up in april that I am considering, but can't make up my mind.

I know its been a lot but if anyone out there is doing this already or has already been through all this I would greatly appreaciate your thoughts and or ideas.

Thanks!
