|
|
I've been lurking on the forum for months now, soaking up as much information as I can find and now I finally have something to post!
I am looking to start work in September, ideally public school work and I have no set preference for what age of students / which specific city etc.
My question is when to expect things to start happening in terms of job offers, GEPIK positions being available etc.
I have read various posts on here about good recruiters and I've sent plenty of applications and had chats with a few recruiters who advised it'll normally be May at the earliest before they will start putting job applications in for me.
Most jobs advertised seem to be asap starts or at the latest May starts.
I am continuing to research about the country, the recruiters, how to prepare etc so any tips on this for a new teacher would be appreciated too, but my main query is about what/when to expect things to happen for a September start?
Thanks, |

June/July for end of Aug/sept starts in a public school.
Usually the orientations are mid august and school starts the last week of August.
If you change your mind and switch to a hakwon, then July/Aug for a sept start. |

I think if you apply for Epik they have some positions for September already. |

Thanks for the replies guys.
I am looking into Epik as we speak and chatting to a few more recruiters.
Plenty of time to prepare for interviews and research the different options then. |

Start the application process now. We waited until the end of May to get all of our stuff in for a public school position and didn't get into our 1st or 2nd choice city! The key is to have all of the documents ready, even if they are not due until the beggining of May.
PM me if you want more info.... |
