I have been corresponding with a Canadian in Korea about teaching English there and now that I have decided to go, she has said that her school will need 2 teachers in September, which is when I want to go.
She seems happy there, but I have heard a lot of bad things about Kids Club.
So my question is, assuming that the director/school is good, is there anything inherintly horrible about the chain/ciriculum/etc.
Thanks. |

Hello, Chinook!
Kids Club has been discussed on this forum. Try entering "Kids Club" as a search word.
The only thing I know about the chain is that they hold regular teachers' meetings, and all the teachers are expected to take turns giving presentations. Some teachers complain about that, but I think I would enjoy giving presentations. There are a few things which I wish my fellow teachers would listen to, and I'm sure they say the same thing about me. |

I worked at a Kids Club. See "Who pays?"

In fairness though I enjoyed myself. There is not much preparation. Plan for a year and enjoy the experience. If you have no experience it is a good chance I suppose. |
