As long as the girls here don't start wearing headbands like the drummer did! Cool

True story from about ten years ago from a friend who owned a jewelry store in St. John's. Burton Cummings came in on tour with a young girl, and the girl began to look at some expensive necklaces. Burton was very arrogant and told the girl, don't waste your time on this s---, we'll get you something nicer in Winnipeg.

The owner, thinking quickly, called to him as he was leaving, "Hey, I know you!" Burton turned and grinned, expecting to be asked for an autograph. "You're the singer for Loverboy!" Burton slammed the door in a rage.

I was thinking maybe all Burton heard from your friend is "heh by ... loverboy by ...... buddy....by... Seeing that even a newfie away from St Johns is impossible to understand and that it was a jewerly shop all Burton might have heard was the word loverboy surrounded by a bunch of gobbly gook and thought your friend was a gay fan hitting on him and slammed the door in disgust of a gay jewler hitting on him.

Or he could have slammed the door from the fustartion of not understanding a word your friend said.

Or maybe he is broke these days and lost face by not having the cash to buy a nice necklace so slammed the door in fustration of being poor.
