Koreans would prefer fembots, I'll bet.
Then again, if they look like Liz Hurley, I'm going back to school. |

This is quite possibly the dumbest idea I have ever heard out of this country. I personally hope they try it and fail (as they will) and become an object of ridicule. |

Sounds fun, Can't wait to see the robots yelling 조용히 하라고 했잖아! when the kids are running riot. Or when they, say, turn the robot off. Or give it a virus. |

Eh, I'm alright with that. The article says I got 10-15 years of steady robot assisted employment, after which I can take my savings over to Thailand, Vietnam or China. Everybody wins. |

It's more likely to develop a virus from all the illogical requests the Won-Jang-Nims are famous for making. |

Nice to finally converse with you, TUM. I've been perusing this site for months, with no ability to use it myself because no admins were letting me for some reason. I feel like you're part of my family. *back on topic* |

I hope the bottom does fall out of this industry. Maybe it would give me the impetus to get off my lazy ass and find a real job.*
*ESL folk who are in this job for life shouldn't take this the wrong way. They probably know what I'm talking about more than most. |

Good luck with that, racist ajosshis. I'm sure the robot-taught lessons will be really effective. |

You give a doctoral dissertation every time you want your kids to sit down, shut up, and do what they're told? How's that going for you? |

I'll be honest I had no idea what that meant, I was just told it will make people be quiet if you yell it... how about 조용히 해?
Although a dissertation isn't too bad an idea *rubs chin* |

조용히 하세요! = Be quiet! (Polite version)
조용히 해! = Be quiet! (Used with younger people)
You can add 자 to get their attention, as in,
자, 조용히 하세요! = Hey, be quiet! (Polite version)
자, 조용히 해! = Hey, be quiet! (Used with younger people)
Or at a pinch when the above have failed you can just yell, out in a pissed off manner and raised voice,
조용! = Quiet!
What you typed originally, 조용히 하라고 했잖아!, is correct.....it basically is a pissed off way to say "I told you to be quiet", but it's more difficult to pronounce and the kids might not understand you. |
