According to one of the Bank of America branches in the states, it is free to transfer money between two of their accounts. Has any tried opening an account at one of the branches in Seoul and transfering money back home to a BoA account there? I'm curious as to just how "free" it would end up being.

Not true! I am a Bank of America account holder. You need to go to the branch manager and ask them not to charge you on their end. My branch manager gave her approval, but the firast time I did it they charged me so I called her and she adjusted the fee right away.

hochhasd: thanks for the reply. Did you have to talk to the manager in Seoul or the one back home? Also, could you tell me what bank you went to? None of the numbers for Banks of America in Seoul I found so far have worked.

The only Bank of America in Korea is on the US Military base and only military personnel are allowed to bank there. I suggest you go onto the internet and find their(Bank of America) toll free number( branch number of your home city) and call on Skype and speak with that branch manager. Cool
