Im Sang-soo (director of The President's Last Bang and A Good Lawyer's Wife) has remade Kim Ki-young's The Housemaid. Check out the trailer:
http://twitchfilm.net/news/2010/03/first-trailer-arrives-for-im-sang-soos-remake-of-classic-1960-korean-thriller-the-housemaid.php

Stars Jeon Do-yeon (Secret Sunshine, Happy End) and Seo Woo (Paju, Crush and Blush).

By the way, you can view the entire original film online for free courtesy Martin Scorcese:

Here's what Scorcese had to say about the film:

"Kim Ki-youngs Hanyo, or The Housemaid, is one of the true classics of South Korean cinema, and when I finally had the opportunity to see the picture, I was startled. That this intensely, even passionately claustrophobic film is known only to the most devoted film lovers in the west is one of the great accidents of film history. Im proud that the World Cinema Foundation is participating in the restoration and preservation of this remarkable picture. I am eager for more people to get to know and love The Housemaid."
Martin Scorsese, February 2008

Saw the original on the auteurs.

It was very entertaining. Something gritty about the whole thing.

Based on what I saw in the trailer, it looks cheesy already.
A man living far beyond his means.
