I started to floss my teeth.
But it seems that my teeth are so tight. It keeps braking and stucking.
Does flossing make a larger gap between my teeth? Will it be bad for me?
Should I keep doing it? |

I've flossed a total of three times in my life and brush my teeth once a day. Dental hygiene isn't the be all and end all of dental health. |

Your teeth probably have ungodly amounts of tartar buildup and therefore it's making your teeth feel tight, making the floss "brak" and "stuck"
But seriously, yeah, if you flossed more often not only would you have much, much better dental health, and the gaps would get bigger because you'd scrape away plaque and tartar.
And while Senior is right about flossing and brushing not being the end-all of dental health, it's still gross that people leave huge chunks of plaque just sitting in between their teeth when they could get rid of them, be sanitary and healthy, and feel better about themselves. Would you kiss someone that didn't floss that crap out? I wouldn't. What you eat makes all the differences, but even if you eat nothing but bread and rice and avoid sugar at all times, you're still going to get goobers of gross crap building up in your mouth. |

Rice and bread are sugar, dumby. That crap will rot your teeth as well as anything.
Drinking green tea gets any crap out of my teeth. I've never had a filling. I'm not saying I'm perfect. I'm probably lucky. My mother has false teeth and my father has broken teeth eating egg and porridge, from what I can remember.
I'm just saying there is more to it than the simplistic advice we are given. Koreans brush their teeth 7 times a day ffs. Have you seen an advanced race of people with worse teeth than Koreans? Somalians probably have better teeth ffs. |

I meant to say bread and rice as a flavor context to candy or sweets, not as carbs in general. And they are only sugars when they're broken down in the small intestine anyways, the enzymes in your mouth do very little to convert it initially. They'll rot your teeth but not nearly as fast as taffy or a snickers bar will.
And actually I've never really seen many Koreans with bad teeth. Most of the time they're white and sparkly, and generally they're pretty straight, and they brush after every meal. Japanese people, on the other hand, yeesh. |

I take it you have never met a Briton or Japanese person?
Koreans in general seem to have excellent teeth. |
