I went to Dr. Sung's clinic in Hannam-dong...referred by a friend and I also saw Dr. Sung's name on a list of English-speaking ob/gyn docs.

Anyway, I went to her office today and she was going to charge me 80,000 won for a pap smear saying that my insurance doesn't cover it? That is really hard for me to believe.
Where can I find out what my insurance covers?!?!
Anyway, I'll just check out ANOTHER English-speaking doc in the meantime...she's certainly not the only English-speaking ob/gyn in Seoul.
HMPH!~~!!~

Does anyone know a site for health insurance coverage info in English??
Cheers,
GG

Pap smear is covered by NI. You were conned. Report the doc to the authority!

The English site doesn't say much, but there is a phone number you can use that supposedly has English speakers.

i would strongly discourage anyone from going to dr. sung. if you do a search for her on dave's you'll find that she's known for pressuring women to have a LEEP procedure, even if it's not necessary.
