|
|
One of my students has a 2008 PSP and always downloads all of his games for free.
I made a mistake a bought a new PSP-3005 PSP - (just yesterday) thinking that I would be able to download all my games for free - but found out I couldn't.
Apparently I need some kind of mod-chip.
Could someone advise me where they are selling this mod-chip in Seoul and if it possible to buy this "mod chip" and if so, what to ask for?
if anyone wants to sell me one - I am very willing to buy..
any solutions? |

Go to the far-left to "Settings"
Then choose "System Settings"
And then "System Information"
Look at what it says under "System Software" |

| Just buy your games. They are not very expensive for the PSP. At the gameland place in Korea they are anywhere from 8,000 to 40,000 won. That way you can download from the PSN store, play multiplayer, and use all of the features of the Sony firmware. |

Where is the "gameland place" please give directions.
After I purchase from them - how does that enable me to "download from the PSN store, play multiplayer, and use all of the features of the Sony firmware".
To download games - don't I need my PSP modded? |

S/He's talking about you NOT having your PSP modded. Don't know what the "Gameland" place is, but you can set up an account with PSN and download games legitly from them...

That kinda goes against your envious first post, but it's likely more morally correct. |

| Most next gen systems, I believe, are about 60,000-70,000 won for a new game. PSP games retail at $40 US for a brand new game or some start at $30. A classics game is $20. The gameland place is in Daegu. It's straight east from the Jungangno subway stop. I don't know where you are but if you posted or searched for a thread with "(psp) game stores in ______" you might find something. This website overcharges on all of their games(atleast $5) but ships for free. play-asia.com. To get the updated firmware and download from the playstation store you should turn on your wlan switch and connect to a wifi hotspot. You could try a coffee shop if you don't have a wireless router in your house. Multiplayer infrastructure gaming can only be accessed with wifi. You can download from the PS store through your computer by downloading media go and then connecting your psp via USB cable. I bought my wireless router for $30 and I can download via wifi direct to my psp. |

I went to "DooKKobi Sanga" (Toad market) at Yongsan
ALL done - SUCCESS!!
Mod was easy.
apparently the guy told me I can download all my games here -
http://clubnex.co.kr/
http://jjangfile.net/
They even sell BRAND new already modded PSP's there.
Apparently - DO NOT buy a PSP with a GEN bigger than 3.50 (the newer ones are 3.65 - you CANNOT mod them) Lucky mine was 3.50GEN. |
