What kind of questions should I ask the school that is wanting to hire me?
Obviously like what my job will be; how big the school is; how many teachers (and how many of those are foreigners); salary and benefits; housing etc....
anything i really should find out before i sign my contract?

Asking the school?

30 contact hours - HOW MANY CLASSES per day/week/month?
Do they enroll you in the national pension ?
Do you get the national health insurance booklet?

What are your working hours - start time, stop time, breaks?

Can I speak to one of the foreign teachers?

Your salary and benefits should be outlined SPECIFICALLY in your contract.

The rest of your questions are not really pertinent to the interview.

Questions to ask the FT when the boss is NOT looking over their shoulder or by e-mail AFTER the phone call.

What is the apartment like?
How far to shopping?
do they pay on-time?
Strange deductions?
Taxes? 5%, 3.3% or the real rate of about 1.7%?
Did they get the NHIC medical plan booklet?
What are the extra costs for the apartment, fees, utilities, etc?
How about the holiday breaks - when, how long, who decides when?

.
