There was a thread on here talking about other countries and the conditions. I wondered if there are any other countries where they refuse to pay salaries like they do in KOrea.
65% of teachers here have at least not ben paid; 75% of DDD workers. |

65% that is ridiculous, sounds like you're pulling a number out of your... anyways, yes it does happen to some people, but I can count on one hand the number I've met that that has happened to and count on two hands the number of second hand stories I've heard (that may or may not be true). Additionally I've heard of peopling being screwed in other countries too (again these stories may or may not be true), but moving to a foreign country is a gamble, there is always that risk you're gonna get screwed in one way or another, maybe the people I know have just been lucky... |

In addition to Korea, I worked in Thailand and Saudi and never once was my salary late in the latter two countries. Maybe I got lucky in those and unlucky in Korea. Who knows? Anyway, I'm sure there are some people who will give you a hard time for this post. Just ignore them.

You guys are reading his post incorrectly....65% of teachers have not paid Ben. I certainly qualify for that demographic. |

Right right. Ben does has terrible luck when it comes to on time salary payment. |

That's crazy good luck then...I know of at least 5 teachers, as in very close and reasonably close friends, who were ripped off at least 1 month's salary...and another 10 who have been short changed at least a few hundred thousand won. Granted...this is out of the couple hundred teachers I've met in Korea, so to claim 65% don't get paid is obviously absurd. |
