Can someone recommend a good Dentist in Seoul? One that can speak English would be useful as my 'Dentist Korean' isn't up to scratch. Also an idea of the prices... Smile

I had a bunch of work done in Chuncheon last autumn. I paid just over 2 million won and he put on two crowns, did two extractions, made a four tooth bridge of sorts (the Korean style I guess - they're built in to the roots, not removable like bridges in the West. Also several of the "endodontic treatments" which seem to be a different kind of root canal (without surgery). If I had this all done in Miguk it woulda cost at least 4 or 5 times as much.

Seoul might be more expensive - why not, after all, it's the big city.... And, no, I can't refer you to any dentists in Seoul. But someone might, though in my case I've found recommendations to be less than useful. F'rinstance the dentist recommended to me in Melbourne that looked in my mouth and right away wanted to pull out a half-dozen teeth. I was pretty shocked at this. Later I found that the kind of dentist he was didn't get well-trained and pulling was what he did. I resisted the extractions, to his disgruntlement. His name had been given to me by someone at a hospital. Guess they didn't know either.

After trying unsuccessfully to get recommendations for Chuncheon, I finally went to one suggested by someone at the tourist bureau. He was fine. It's been six months and my new teeth are all still in my mouth and functional, so far....

Yeah, I am trying to avoid getting any extra work done. Just want my 'current problem' fixed. Maybe a supply of antibiotics will do.
