I bought a digital camera in the U.S. before coming to Korea. I bought a converter/ adapter set for my general electronics, but it won't charge my camera batteries. I read that you have to get a specific converter for charging camera batteries. Do you know how I would go about getting one in Korea or where I can find one? |

Read the label on the charger.
Does it say:
a) input 110-125VAC or
b) input 110-250VAC
IF <a> AND you plugged it into a wall outlet then your charger is screwed you need to replace it (cause you would have melted the transformer when you plugged it in).
IF <a> AND you did NOT plug it in yet then you can get a step-down (250-110VAC) transformer in the electrical section of most department stores or hardware stores.
IF <b> then just a plug adapter is necessary.
IF you need a replacement (because of <a>) then you need to look at the label again for the OUTPUT. You can get replacement chargers at the nanjin arcade in Yongsan with universal plug tips but you need to know the output (3-6-9-12VDC and the amps). |
