Okay, so I've been here for 8 months and from the beginning I worked at one hagwon 4 days a week and another one on another day. The hagwons are the same brand or company. There is no address printed on the back of my immi card. I just never made a big deal about it because my boss is a nice person.
Today he gave me a new schedule and I am teaching at public school every morning. This school is totally unrelated to the hagwon and I'm afraid that it could get me in big trouble.
Maybe my boss is going to tell me that it is no big deal. Could they just print the other place on my card? I do really like my boss and if this is going to be illegal I need to have justification to get him to back down. Any of you have links to hard evidence to show my boss that I can't do this? What are my options? Or what steps are necessary to make this legit?
Thanks in advance guys. |

You need to apply for an addition to your workplace at immigration.
It won't be a problem BUT your boss will need to submit some paperwork, you need to sign the application, pay the fee and immigration will note it in their computer and on the back of your ARC.
Otherwise, it is illegal (details on the immigration website).

Sorry but you're being used.
=(
They could try to blackmail you if they really wanted - saying that you are already breaking the law, your E-2 is at risk, it's too late, blah blah. Chances are that they clearly already knew about that this was illegal. |
