Hey, I just asked my Moms to go down to the Cali sheriffs department and ask them what I need to request my CBC by proxy, be it fingerprints, spit/urine samples, my own liver. This is what they said:
"Good news, to get a clearance letter from the sheriff's department, you need to write a letter requesting a criminal clearance and that it will be okay for your mom (with my name) to receive the information. It needs to include a photo ID, DOB, and self-addressed envelope. It will cost $17.OO."
My buddy from Flordia did the same process with his Dad. So, for all of you looking to get a new CBC, and happen to be from Cali or Florida at least, here's an easy way out.
I will say, I sent in a FBI request, complete with fingerprint cards and the whole she-bang, and have yet to here a response (it's been over 13 weeks.) I feel like the FBI just took my fingerprints and money and ran away laughing, bastards....
