I have a really sore throat. Before, I had some kind of syrup or elixer that was thick and really soothing on my throat. I don't think it is even medicine, just some kind of mix of Chinese stuff, but I know I got it in a yak-gug. Anyway, it was really soothing.
Now I have a sore throat and go back to the yak-gug, but they have no idea what I am wanting. I have the hexamadin for gargle, that is nice, but really want that syrup again. Part of the problem is that the yak-gugs in one neighborhood seem to have entirely different stuff than the yak-gugs in another neighborhood, so having a name would be really helpful.
I don't have a cough, so don't need cough syrup, though that could be OK if it were think and soothing. Don't need alcohol, though that might be a major ingredient.
Anyone know a soothing syrup for throat pain ?? Thanks |

| Best & simplest remedy for a sore throat is a warm salted water gargle. Honey is also soothing & mildly antibiotic. |

Doraji (도라지) tea..
...or samgyetang (삼계탕) will fix you up. The latter is a kind of chicken soup, but it'll help your throat. |
