So, cherry blossoms should be blooming soon... was just wondering if anyone knows of some good locals to see them apart from Gyeongbok Palace and Seokchon Lake near Lotte World in Jamsil. Thanks!

The Youido waterfront and along the edge of the Anyang river around Soksu station are both nice.

Does anyone know a good place for cherry blossoms in Busan (apart from Jinhae)?

I'd like to go to Yeoido this weekend, but everyone's telling me it's a mob scene. A few sites recommend Gyeongbokgong and Changyeongong. I haven't been to either yet.

Oh, forgot to ask one other thing... have the cherry blossoms bloomed yet? There aren't any nearby where I live. Thanks.

Blooming in Jinhae and Busan. Starting to bloom where I am in Daegu. More everytime I look out my window. I assume Seoul by this weekend if not earlier.

I second Youido! I went there last year. There was a fun festival...music, street performers, etc. Bring a couple bottles of wine and sit in Youido park for the evening. Good fun!

Either -

(1) The main road leading from Jamsil station to Mongchontoseong station

or

(2) Up in the hills surrounding Walker Hill Casino (all around Walker Hill Casino)

I was there last week - at their very very expensive Walker Hill Pizza restaurant and the trees are not blooming yet.

I hope the weather forecast is wrong about it being a rainy weekend coming up as I'm hoping for a pleasant time taking in some culture, nice weather, and picturesque sights in Yeoido. Would be cool if we had a Spring break.

Should nice weather be available in the next 7 to 10 days, this thread gives some info.

There is a cherry blossom festival in Jinhae all this week and all weekend. April 10-11 my boyfriend and I are making the trek there. Apparently the whole mountainside is covered in pink and it's really beautiful.
