More of a poll I suppose. I know people from the August 2009 orientation who have been approached already, even if it's not in black and white yet. I get the feeling I'm not getting renewed (not that I want to be), but with two other public school jobs I had, I was approached slightly more than half a year in, and here I'm about 8 months in. So I guess the more serious question to ask here is...when do you find out you are NOT going to be renewed?

Getting renewed? When it's convenient for them. Not getting renewed? Probably 1 day before the contract is up. If you need to know, ask them directly.

Told them I was interested in late April... Had my renewal open class in mid-June... Got my contract late July...
(They were realllllly behind last year with contract changes... Lots and lots of headaches b/c people wanted to use their vacation in early August and had to worry about getting their visa renewed before they went)

--I have my first demo lesson in two weeks. Would that be considered a "renewal demo" as well? What if someone wants to transfer...do they still have to do a 2nd demo?
