FIVE DAY "Das BLASTHAUS" Edition

What: Biannual Deokjeokdo Camping Trip (May and September)

Where: Seopori Beach, Deokjeok Island

When: September 18-22, 2013 (Sat, Sun, Mon)

Price: Free This is a DIY affair

How: 60min. ferry from Domestic Ferry Terminal in Yeonam Budu(Incheon Port), bus to beach 10min

Ferry Info: (032)887-2891~5

Abodes: There is camping on the beach or motels, I recommend camping.

Food: There are restaurants and supermarkets, again I recommend
bring your own food in a cooler and cooking on the beach.

To Do: Swimming, disk golf, camp fires, camp songs, camp sex

Notes: The ferry is usually really full this time of year so I would
reserve tickets now.

This Year:

1/ As always, Master of the Universe "Cups" tourney. (beer-in-hand-rule-applies)

2/ The never ending "last hole leader chooses next hole" disk golf
tourney. (beer-in-hand-rule-applies)

3/ The Century Club. 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes.

4/ The usual campfire.

I miss when it was a one night only campfire with a few guitars. Now it's f**king spring break: The beach is inevitably left trashed. The local supers charge triple/quadruple prices.

I started going there in '98. There wasn't even a paved road to the beach. Yes, there are many more people who go now, but it in no way over crowded. Lots of groups doing lots of things on the beach and having a good time. Haha, the beach does resemble a war zone at around six in the morning, but that doesn't last long. many people chip in and move ALL the trash and empties to the curb.

That's good to hear. The last time I went, people trashed the place and didn't clean up. I decided I didn't want to be associated with it anymore. Maybe I'll give it another chance. I'm not sure how I feel about cups tournaments and centuries however..

Being so far from Seoul, I'm worried that the FFF quotient may be a little low.

Or does the FFF focal point shift if enough foreigners move at once?

I think it shifts, but it depends on the quality of foreigners involved.

People didnt get drunk enough and wreck enough property at Mud fest?

A bunch of backwards ballcap frat tools running around drunk smashing their heads against cans after they shot gunned shouting "THAT WAS EXTREME BRO!"

This and mud fest are the last places youll see me at in Korea.
