I'm working on an MA in English Lit and I'd like to know where where that falls as a credential.
Is it close to, or considered the same as, an MA-TESOL, as far as Korean employers are concerned, or is it merely a step beyond a generic BA?
Also, will my experience as a TA at the university level matter? I'll have 2 years experience (2 sem. freshmen comp, 2 sem. sophomore comp), as well as two internships co-teaching Intro to Film.
I actually don't expect any of this to help me much in an ESL classroom (except for having the experience of being in front of any class), but I'm curious about whether or not it would aid me in finding a more enviable position or better pay in Korea.
I wasn't sure if I should add this into an existing thread but I didn't want to hijack anyone so I just started fresh.
At any rate, thanks in advance. |
