It gets done during your work day or it doesn't get done.
END OF DISCUSSION.
If they ask, politely but firmly tell them NO.
You WON'T get paid for it.

Because I am very lazy during my workday, sometimes I get stuck having to finish lessons at home. I make powerpoint presentations for my Grade 9 classes, yes I know, that's horrible teaching, but my co-teachers like it because I can post the slides on the net and the students can download them. And then my co-teachers use the material in them for tests. Realistically I should be getting all this work done at school, as that I have tons of time, but I find it hard to get motivated doing it 'til the last minute. The procrastinators creed "Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow" |

+1
My co-teacher does do extra work sometimes but she gets winter and summer vacations and a lot more than my 10 days
I'm a procrastinator mysef but why in the hell would you ever want to or have to take work home with you.... its setting a terrible precedent. (Maybe for your first or second week you might have to do the odd lesson plan at home IF.. you're at mutiple schools and some of them aren't hooked up for English yet)
I totally agree, politley but firmly say NO. Your free time should be sacrosant |

As others have said, 1) you shouldn't take work home and 2) if you do, you won't get paid for it.
So just don't do it. If you regularly don't have the time, tell them to lesson the work load or class load. |

The way I see it, I get paid for the work I do at home. Being in the classroom isn't work. |

without knowing your profile and qualifications, it's impossible to say. if you don't mind, could you shed some light on this?
i will say from personal experience, that landing a job in seoul is much, much more difficult if you're applying from abroad than if you're in seoul and applying from here. |
