Just like the title says,I was interested in GEPIK but want to live as close as possible to Seoul.

I heard the south side and west side are the nicest areas. Any remarks and name of cities?

You should really be more focused on finding a good school. Since distance to Seoul is relative. I can see making a big deal out of it in 1999 when the subway line was less developed. No matter where they put you if you do any line night partying in Seoul you'll either have to get a Yogwan, a bullet taxi. or crash in a public bath house.

It's relative when you live 2+ hours away from Seoul and you want to attend a concert/show/club/eat out, what the f*ck ever, on a weekday and you can't becuase you live too far in the sticks.

Anyang/Gwacheon, Gwangmyeong and Bucheon are probably the closest for Itaewon/Hongdae.

I'd suggest Gwangmyeong.. it's only 15 mins on a bus to guro digital danchi on the green number 2 line and it has the 7 line running through it~ Schools around here seem to be pretty good fairly relaxed compared to the ones I worked at in Seoul~
